Mfantseman DCE retained
Mr Henry Kweku Hayfron, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Mfantseman in the Central Region was retained with 39 out of 52 votes cast.
Twelve the votes went against the DCE with one rejected ballot paper.
The DCE was overwhelmed after being declared the winner with the support from all the regional and District executives.
Mr Samuel Sarpong, Central Regional Minister, called for unity among the party activists to enable the DCE discharge his duties well.
He noted that with unity the party can retain power in the next election.
He said government would help address issues confronting the youth to reduce poverty in the country.
The Regional Minister expressed his gratitude to the Assemblymen and women, party executives for ensuring peace and sanity during the campaign and the election.
Mr Hayfron commended all for their votes, support and promised to work with all in the District.
