Traditional ruler cautions ‘chieftaincy contractors’
The Paramount Chief of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, Obrempong Yamfo Krampah, has warned that the Council would deal ruthlessly with chieftaincy contractors in the area.
He has, therefore, advised such contractors to halt their illegal activities before the law caught up with them.
Obrempong Krampah gave the warning when he addressed the Chiefs and People of Gomoa Ankamu after resolving a three-year old chieftaincy dispute in the town on Friday.
The dispute was between Nana Ankamu Otabil IX, Odikro of Ankamu and Nana Otebah, his Queen mother.
He said the Council has taken steps to resolve all chieftaincy disputes in the Traditional Area because they were seriously affecting socio-economic advancement of the people in the District.
Obrempong Krampah cautioned family members in the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area who sell the land without prior approval from the chiefs and Heads of Clan to stop the act.
Nana Otabil thanked the Omanhene and his elders for the amicable settlement of the dispute which has derailed developmental projects in the town.
