GJA Western Region Secretary dies

Mr Mark Essien, Western Regional Editor of the Daily Guide and Regional Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) passed away on Thursday, at the age of 58 years.

According to a family source Mr Essien passed away at the Kwesimintsim Hospital near Takoradi at about 0100 hours after a short illness.

The body has been deposited at the mortuary of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital for autopsy.

Funeral and burial arrangements would be announced later, the source said.
