Prof. Adei tasks NRSC to be clear on its vision
Professor Stephen Adei, a Former Rector at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has tasked the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) to be clear, bold and audacious with its vision of reducing road crashes in the country.
He entreated law enforcement agencies not to compromise on road safety regulations and instead, ensure that the general public strictly adhered to road safety measures.
Professor Adei was addressing the 2013 Mid-year review conference of the NRSC on the theme: “Scaling up towards the attainment of 2011 – 2013 Action Plans Objectives, No Excuse” in Kumasi, on Thursday.
He noted that to achieve its set goals and targets in curbing road accidents, there was the need for the NRSC to work as a team and be bold to dismiss any non-performers,
Professor Adei called on the management of the NRSC to be more proactive and efficient in the course of their duties.
Mrs. May Obiri Yeboah, the Executive Director of the NSRC noted that though the country saw some reduction in the number of road fatalities in 2012, as compared to the previous, accidents were still alarming and appealed to all stakeholders to support road safety education campaigns.
