Senya East Assembly to evacuate Kasoa traders

Mr Nuhu Adam, Awutu Senya East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE),in Central Region has warned that traders and hawkers at the Bus Rapid Transport depot at Kasoa would be evacuated.

Mr Adam, said the assembly had constructed new satellite market and gave a directive for the traders and hawkers to move to the new site within 14 days.

The MCE gave the warning when Mr Akwasi Oppong-Fosu, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development paid a visit to the municipality on Friday.

Mr Adam said government has awarded contract for the construction of three access roads to guarantee free traffic flow at Kasoa.

He appealed to the Local Government Minister for the construction of a municipal hospital and public senior high school in Kasoa.

Mr Oppong-Fosu commended the MCE for exhibiting good leadership qualities and urged him to ensure that the evacuation excise is carried out to ensure free flow of traffic.
