NBA stars to conduct Basketball clinic in Ghana
Two Basketball players from the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the United States of America (USA) are expected in Ghana next week to conduct series of clinics for Basketball players from July 29 -30.
Loul Deng of Chicago Bulls and Nana Yaw Dwene “Pops” Mensah Bonsu formerly of Toronto Raptors, now with Empori Armani Milano of Italian League will be the resource persons for the three-day clinic scheduled for Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
A statement from the organizers Rite Multi Media, said the clinic dubbed “Sprite Basketball Clinic, is aimed at improving the understanding of the game among young players at the Senior High School (SHS) level.
It said the first session will take place at Labone Senior High School in Accra on Monday, July 29 with participants from the Greater Accra Region, whilst the second session will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at the Opoku Ware Senior High School in Kumasi with the last session fixed for the Mfantsipim School the same day. .
According to the statement, the most outstanding player will have the opportunity to participate in the 2013 Basketball without Borders programme in South Africa in August.
