Female teacher elected Nkoranza South MCE

voter2Madam Stella Amoatemaa, a teacher, has been elected Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive.

She polled 28 out of the 39 votes cast representing 71 per cent.

Madam Amoatemaa, 47, with a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development and a tutor at Kumasi Secondary Technical School (KSTS) at Patase, became the first woman to be elected MCE for the area.

She expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama and the assembly for the trust and confidence reposed in her and pledged to live up to expectation.

Madam Amoatemaa called for unity among the assembly members to accelerate socio-economic development of the municipality.

Mr Ahmed Rufai Ibrahim, Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive, commended the assembly members for the disciplined manner the election was conducted adding, “with the election of the MCE, the management would be able to undertake its responsibilities without much hindrance”.

Mr Akrapim Baffoe, Presiding Member, called for unity and co-operation among the members to develop the municipality.
