President Mahama appoints new MMDCEs

President John Dramani Mahama on Monday nominated 29 new Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

A statement issued by the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the nominations were in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462.

The nominated persons were James A. K. Baidoe, Nzema East, Issahaku Nuhu, Wa Municipal,  Vivien Nelly Kunko Banongkore, Jirapa, Bom kofi Dy-Yaka, Lambussie Karni, Peter Kofi Aduteye, Ada East, Sam Atukwei Quaye, Ga West, Priscilla Arhin, Cape Coast, Emelia Ankomah, Upper Denkyira, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, Asuogyaman, Dr. Kwaku Owusu Acheampong, New Juaben.

Others are Dora Ama Tamea Jaman South, Michael Justice Baffoe, Kintampo North, Alex Ayamdor Adugdaa, Bongo District, Amadu I. W. Karimu, Bawku Municipal, Dr Stanislaus Alu Akandingdi Kassena-Nankana East, George Nonterah, Kassena-Nankena West, Afiuc Elizabeth Jane, Builsa South, Stephen Yeboah, Atwima Mponua, Emmanuel Dede Appiah, Amansie Central and Kwabena Nkrumah Atwima Kwanwoma.

The rest are Mary Juantoah, Bekwai Municipal, Hannan G. Y. Abdul-Rahaman, Tamale Metro, Issifu Alidu Laa-Bandow,  Zabzugu, Mumuni Shiraz Ibn Yacin, Central Gonja, Killian Abrampah Kwame, Jasikan, Mary Ama Theodora Agbenyenu, Central Tongu, Peter Kenyenso, Nkwanta South, Mrs. Fafa Adinyira, Ho Municipal and Paulina Delali Adinyirah, Kpando Municipal.
