Eight Northern Region DCEs sworn-in
District Chief Executives for eight district assemblies in the Northern Region have been sworn into office to serve a four-year mandate.
They are Mr Mohammed Ibn Abass for Nanumba North District, Mr Joseph Jato for Kpandai District, Mr Ali Adolffor Saboba District, and Mr Seidu Abukari for Tolon.
The rest are Mr Adam Imoro for East Mamprusi District, Alhaji Seidu Amidu for Nanumba South District, Ali Bakari Kassim for West Gonja District and Mr Mohammed Amin Lukuman for East Gonja District.
They were recently nominated by President John Dramani Mahama and confirmed by their assemblies.
They took the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy administered to them by Mr Bede Ziedeng, Northern Regional Minister at a ceremony in Tamale on Wednesday.
Mr Ziedeng told them to institute measures to increase revenue generation to undertake development projects and to work to fulfill the promises of the President to the people.
Alhaji Amidu, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, assured that they would work hard to deliver on their mandate to justify the confidence reposed in them.
