Police recruits warned not to tarnish image of the Service
Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Director General of the Ghana Police Service in charge of Finance, on Thursday advised police recruits against conducts which could tarnish the image of the Service.
He asked them to remain disciplined and shun bad association within and outside the Service, which could affect their professionalism and the image of the Service.
Dr. Dampare said this at the passing out of 294 recruits at the Volta Regional Police Training School in Ho.
He advised families of the recruits to help them develop social ethics to complement what they have been taught, to enhance their efficiency as peace officers.
Dr. Dampare assured the citizenry of the preparedness of the Police to maintain law and order, and called for support from all and sundry.
“Ghana is a lovely place to be and we must all work together to enjoy the peace,” he stated.
He commended the recruits for their tenacity throughout the six-month training and asked them to be prepared for the task ahead.
General Recruit Isaac Baffoe Koranteng emerged as the over-all best recruit.
