MoE, rLG collaborate to train 50,000 teachers in ICT
The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Roagam Links Ghana (rlg) Institute of Technology, is training about 50,000 Junior High School teachers nationwide to be abreast with the knowledge and skills in teaching Information, Communication Technology (ICT).
This was announced by Mr Yaw Ofosu Asabere, Brong-Ahafo Regional Supervisor of rlg, at a five-day training workshop for about 100 JHS teachers at Nkoranza.
He said the training programme, which begun in December 2012, was expected to end by December 2013 and the participants would be provided with laptops.
Mr Robert Benefor, Nkoranza South Municipal Deputy Director of Education, commended the government for ensuring that JHSs received laptops to stop the abstract teaching of ICT.
He commended rlg for collaborating with the Government to enhance computer literacy among the youth.
