Presidential nominee for Ashaiman Assembly rejected
Mr Ibrahim Baidoo was on Wednesday not confirmed as the Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) after failing to secure two-thirds of the total ballots cast.
Mr Baidoo received 14 votes out of 25.
Speaking to Ghana News Agency (GNA) Mr Alfred Kwame Agbesi, Member of Parliament for the Ashaiman, said he was very much disappointed at the result of the ballot.
“We will appeal to the eleven that did not vote for him and say eleven please come aboard,” he said.
Mr Agbesi said he was hopeful that with enough education on the need for Mr. Baidoo to be confirmed, the Presidential nominee would be successful next time around.
