GIMPA matriculates 2013-14 undergraduate students

graduatesThe Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has held its 11th matriculation for undergraduate students with a call by Dr Samuel Nii Noi Ashong, Deputy Rector, to be disciplined and dress decently.

Dr Ashong urged the fresh students to disdain examination malpractices and pursue high academic standards.

He said 1,762 students matriculated for the 2013/2014 academic year to pursue degree programmes in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Hospitality and Tourism Management.

The rest of the programmes are Operations and Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Project Management, Economics, Information and Communications Technology and Computer Science.

He said GIMPA was well prepared with its experienced lecturers to assist students to deepen their knowledge and understanding.

Dr Ashong said GIMPA had established campuses in Kumasi, Takoradi and Tema to enable more people to have access to its services.

He said plans are advance to construct a multi-vendor cafeteria for the institute and improve the Information and Communication Technology.

Dr Ashong said GIMPA aimed to be a world class centre of excellence for training, consultancy and research in leadership, business management and public administration.

Mr Philip Iwu, newly-matriculated student on behalf of the students pledge their support to management to work hard and improve academic standards.

    why will GIMPA not graduate students from the CIPD department with Diploma in nformation Technology.
