Ghanaians urged to appreciate achievements of leaders
The new Lay Chairperson of the Koforidua Diocese of the Methodist Church, Ms Leonie Florence Gyebi-Twum, had called on Ghanaians to show appreciation for the achievements of their leaders to motivate them to perform better.
She said the current trend where whatever is done by the government in power is seen by their political opponents as bad and evil is not good for the development of the country.
Ms Gyebi-Twum said this in a sermon at a thanksgiving service and formal handing-over by the immediate past Diocesan Lay Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Essampong, to her for a-three-year term on Sunday at the Aburi Wesley Methodist Church.
The Diocesan Lay Chairperson, by the Methodist Church of Ghana constitution, is the head of the non clergy members of the diocese and support the Bishop.
