President Mahama confirms Matilda Baffour-Awuah as Prisons Boss

President John Dramani Mahama on the advice of the Council of state and the Prison Service Council, has confirmed Madam Matilda Baffour-Awuah as the Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service.

A statement issued in Accra on Monday by Vitalis Aiyeh, Deputy Superintendent of Prisons and Chief Public Relations Officer, said Madam Baffour-Awuah assumed office as the Acting Director-General of the Service on March, 2013.

It congratulated the new Director-General as she assumes office as the substantive Director-General of Prisons.
