Banker murdered in Tema

Mr. Kwesi Sakyi Pra, a banker, has been shot dead in his house at Tema Community 25 by some unidentified men.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Olivia Turkson, in charge of the Tema Police Public Relations Directorate, told the Ghana News Agency that on December 22, 0200 hours two men entered the house of the deceased and held his care-taker hostage.

She said they demanded to know the owner of the deceased’s Kia Sorento saloon car and proceeded into the house with their hostage, the care-taker.

The assailants broke into the room of Mr. Pra who was with his wife and two children, and shot him dead on sight and took away a bag containing baby diapers.

Some neighbours who had noticed the commotion, called in the police who arrived and conveyed the deceased’s remains to the Tema General Hospital.

Mr. Pra, was the Manager of the Akosombo Branch of Zenith Bank and was home to spend the weekend with his wife and kids.
