Be security conscious – Police tells public
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah, Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, has called on the general public to collaborate with the Police in this year’s Yuletide to fight against crime.
He stated that the Police were not relenting in their efforts in protecting the general public for a peaceful Christmas.
ASP Tawiah, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani on Tuesday, asked the public to be security conscious and report any strange and unusual behaviour to the Police to save life and property.
He said about 133 Police personnel had arrived from the headquarters to beef up personnel in patrolling the region, adding that all lorry parks, market entries, other crime alerted areas and some vantage points, would be patrolled by officers.
ASP Tawiah said highway patrols would be intensified, especially on the Kintampo, Techiman ,Buipe and Yeji roads, saying that traders and passengers would be escorted in and out, during and after the Christmas to reach their various destinations safely.
