31st Watch Night: Police advises public to ensure maximum security at home
The Western Regional Police Command on Tuesday appealed to the public to put in place security measures in their homes ahead of today’s Watch-Night church services.
The Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, told the GNA in an interview that the Command would dispatch personnel to vantage areas and churches to maintain law and order.
She advised church goers to leave one person at home and promptly call the police patrol teams and police hotlines for assistance when in danger.
ASP Adiku cautioned against firing of fire crackers (knockout) since its ban was still in force and those who would be caught engaging in such activities would be arrested and prosecuted.
The police also warned motorists to avoid reckless driving and obey all traffic regulations to save lives and property.
