Dan Abodakpi files nomination for NDC chairmanship contest
Mr Dan Abodakpi, aspiring National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Tuesday filed his nomination papers at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
The nomination papers were received by Mr Akuamoah Boateng, Director of Administration of the party.
Mr Abodakpi in an interview with journalists after filing promised to bring back hope to the grassroots of the party if voted into office.
He said there is disconnect between the party leadership and the grassroots base, which is a recipe for disaster.
He promised to bring hope to the party supporters by making them the “heart of leadership” and providing the right connection between the party and the presidency.
He said the NDC must retain power in 2016 and it is imperative that delegates of the party vote for a national chairman who has vision, and is dedicated and committed to the cause of the party.
“I have always been committed and dedicated to the cause of the NDC and I promise to bring back hope to our teeming support base if elected as the National Chairman at the…national congress,” he said.
Mr Abodakpi therefore urged the delegates to vote massively for him to win the national chairmanship position and lead the NDC to another victory in 2016.
