NDC pledges to secure more seats in Brong-Ahafo
Nana Adwoa Takyiwaa, Brong-Ahafo Regional Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised to win the Sunyani East Constituency and other parliamentary seats in the region for the party in Election 2016.
She said the Sunyani East Constituency seat, which had been the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), would not be easy to capture, but she would surprise the NPP in the 2016 general election.
Nana Takyiwaa gave the promise at the weekend when she addressed NDC supporters, members and the women executives of the Sunyani East Constituency at a forum in Sunyani.
She explained that aside the Sunyani East Constituency seat which was their main target, the women executives were poised to ensure that the party secured many of the orphan constituencies in the region.
Nana Takyiwaa explained that the women executives of the party had devised new methods to reach out to the grassroots, and influence especially floating voters on the need to vote for the NDC.
She said it had re-focused and was sensitizing the electorate on the ideologies and philosophies behind the formation of the NDC, to make especially the younger generation to understand the party well.
The NDC Regional Women’s Organiser reiterated the importance for members of the party to sell out the achievements of the NDC adding that if they remained silent, the NPP would capitalize on that and credit itself with those achievements.
She advised women in the party to be courageous and use their advocacy and influential skills to attract more voters to enhance the fortunes of the NDC in Election 2016.
Mr Kwasi Oppong Ababio, Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, gave the assurance that the party would give all the necessary logistical and financial support to the women to intensify their campaigns.
He explained that the NDC leadership recognised and appreciated the contributions of women to the growth of the party and was in the position to assist them to contribute significantly to ensure victory.
Mr Oppong-Ababio advised the women against the use of abusive language and entreated them to base their campaigns on the achievements of the party.
He said the Sunyani Municipality had witnessed drastic infrastructural development under the NDC, especially in the areas of health, road and education.

Are there still some idiots in Ghana to vote for NDC? I am expecting NDC to lose the Presidential election and also, at least, lose half of their present parliamentary seats.
