Hearts beat Aduana Stars
Accra Hearts Oak managed a 3-2 victory over Aduana Stars in the 9th week First Capital Plus Premier League game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Hearts scored first in the 35th minutes through Arnold Bosson, who benefited from the solo efforts of Gilbert Fiamenyo, as the later worked his way into the defence of the opponents before setting up the former.
Hearts increased the tally two minutes into the second half, when Isaac Oduro drove in a free kick from the edge of the box to give the home team a comfortable lead.
Aduana came back strongly in the game and mounted intense pressure on Hearts and succeeded in pulling one back in the 64th minute through a penalty converted by Godfred Saka.
This was after Leonard Tawiah brought down James Abban.
Hearts recovered quickly and scored again in the 74th minute, courtesy Gilbert Fiamenyo as he benefited from a counter, raced into the opponents area before planting the ball beyond the keeper.
Aduana, fought back and squeezed in another after Richard Addae connected a corner kick executed in the 82nd minute.
Hearts were subjected to further pressure by Aduana but stood firmly to protect their slim lead to ensure they grabbed the three points at stake.
