Newmont Mining expected to post $1.95b revenue for first quarter 2015
Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the worlds largest mining concerns is expected to release its first quarter 2015 earnings data Thursday, April 23.
According to analysts the miner is expected to post earnings of $0.23 per share and revenue of $1.95 billion for the first quarter of 2015.
April 21, 2015, the Board of Directors of the company declared a quarterly dividend of $0.025 per share of common stock, payable on June 25, 2015, to holders of record at the close of business on June 11, 2015.
“The second quarter 2015 dividend is based on the average London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) P.M. Gold Price of $1,218 per ounce for the first quarter 2015,” the company announced.
Newmont Gold Ghana, the local subsidiary of Newmont Mining expanded its operations in Ghana with the opening of the Akyem mine located in the Birim North District of the Eastern region of Ghana in October 2013.
As at December 2013 gold reserves at Akyem stood at 7.2 million ounces, Newmont says on its website.
Newmont’s other operation in Ghana is the Ahafo Mines in the Brong Ahafo region.
