PPP has a staunch flag bearer – Fredua-Agyeman
Mr Kwaku Fredua-Agyeman, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Party(PPP), has described the flag-bearer of the party as a staunch leader who would deliver a good service to the people, if elected as the President of Ghana, come 2016.
He said Dr Paa Kwasi Ndoum, championed the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA), which earned the country the N1 Highway under President Agyekum Kufuor’s Administration.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency(GNA) in an interview, Mr Fredua-Agyeman rubbished claims by people that,Dr Ndoum together with the New Patriotic Party(NPP) failed to change Ghana for the better ,when he served for seven years under three ministries under the NPP, and so he had nothing to offer the country if elected as president.
He explained that Dr Ndoum served distinctively under the leadership of President Kufuor, when he was at the Ministries of Economic and Regional Integration, Energy and Public Sector Reforms.
However, his vision at that time had to fall in line with that of President Kufuor and the NPP, and his role had to play into what agenda they were pushing for.
“He had a blue print to save us from the current energy crises. When he was at the Energy Ministry, but was suppressed and almost rubbished because he wasn’t a party member,” he stated.
Mr Fredua-Agyeman indicated that Dr Ndoum was an action-oriented leader with the ability to recognize the quality of people, and would appoint competent persons to various positions to make the country work.
He said the country’s problems had gone beyond just putting economic brains into office, adding that, it was about service delivery and that is what the PPP would offer Ghanaians.
He emphasized that Ghana needed a service delivery leader like Dr Ndoum, who also had a solid economic background.
