Anas appears before Judicial Council Committee
Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas on Tuesday appeared before the five-member Committee hearing an impeachment petition, filed against 34 judges at the invitation of the Committee.
The undercover Journalist arrived at the premises around 11:55am in a Toyota Tundra Pickup, with a camera installed on the bonnet of the car.
Anas, who usually disguised himself in public was wearing long apparel with a pair of trousers and a hat with something to cover his face was followed by a cameraman and a sound-man holding a microphone.
The team, who followed him were taking video coverage of the movement into the Judicial Service Administrative block to meet the Committee.
He was in court to testify and also to be cross-examined by the counsels for the accused judges.
Anas in a two-year investigative piece has established the complicity of some 34 Judges who have been caught in corrupt activities involving cases they presided over.
Some of them took bribes in the form of money and foodstuff and left suspects off the hook.
Currently 22 of the judges mainly circuit court judges and magistrates are on suspension, while 12 High Court judges are expected to file their written responses to the petition.
