Netflix comes to Ghana
Online video streaming company, Netflix has expanded a year ahead of plans into 130 countries including Ghana, except China. This brings to 190 countries where Netflix can be accessed.
Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings announced unexpectedly at the end of a presentation Wednesday January 6, 2016 in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), an exhibition for gadgets and technology services.
Netflix has about 70 million subscribers.
With this development, Ghanaians can now subscribe to the service.
Other African countries on the list include South Africa, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Equitorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Cape Verde and Congo among others included.
Following the announcement, the company sent this tweet listing Ghana.

Thanks for the article. Good news for people who don’t have Netflix in their country. However, the new regions of Netflix will have a maximum number of 500 unique titles which is very low compared to US Netflix (5000 titles). You can use geo unblocking services such as Unotelly like I do and access content from all regions of Netflix. I am using this method for more than one year and imo, it provides great value for the money I spend on my Netflix sub.
