Ghana Armed Forces cautions public against recruitment scam
Colonel Eric Aggrey-Quashie, Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has warned the public to be cautious of people who parade themselves as recruitment agents for the GAF.
He said GAF does not advertise recruitment on the social media.
“We are not doing any recruitment now, what we are doing currently is for officers and the process has already started so if anybody comes to you that I can help you to apply it is a liar because he cannot,” he said .
Col Aggrey- Quashie told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that GAF is yet to recruit the other ranks.
He said process of recruitment is normally done by publication in the dailies specifically the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times and Armed Forces Website for prospective personnel to submit their applications.
“What the whole public needs to understand is that, you do not get information about recruitment on Whats App, If we have any information of that kind, it would be in the Newspapers or we will issue a release from the Armed Forces which we will circulate to all the media houses.
“So until you hear from us, anybody who tells such a thing please report that person to the Police or to the Military Police because they do this and some innocent people fall victim to their activities”, he added.
He said the GAF would make an official announcement to the public when the time is due.
