Money will be in your pockets in my second term – Mahama
President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to endure their current hardships, saying the economy will be friendly in his second term thus putting money in their pockets.
According to him, he understood the plight Ghanaians were going through but it was a sacrifice being made to acquire the precious things that would enhance the living conditions of all.
“In everybody’s life, you make sacrifices for the things that are important; there are times that we have to squeeze ourselves to do the precious things in life,” he stressed.
The President was speaking at a durbar at Kwaobaah Nyanoa in the Upper West Akyem District to commission one of the completed Community Day Senior High Schools in the Eastern Region.
He assured Ghanaians that they would begin to feel money in their pockets in his second term.
President Mahama affirmed his commitment to expand access to education at all levels and called for concerted efforts from all to make it a reality.
The Mahama Administration is constructing 200 community day senior high schools across the country; and the Eastern Region is earmarked to receive 12 of such schools to increase SHSs in the region from 95 to 107.
He said his government would continue to work in the interest of all.
The construction of the facility offered employment to than 700 unemployed Ghanaians.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, the Education Minister, entreated parents to endeavour to enroll their wards in the school.
The chief of the area and the Benkumhene of Asamankese Traditional Area, Baffuor Kwame Ako III, thanked the Government for the edifice and pledged to ensure regular maintenance of the facility.
He also expressed appreciation to the President for honouring his promise of fixing the bad roads in the Upper West Akyem communities
Contractors are still working on the roads from Adeiso to the Kwaobaah Nyanoa township under the cocoa roads project.

My Party is in power but I have not been able to secure any job since I completed my HND in 2007. I dont believe my party can put money in my pocket because for the past 7 years we have been hoping for some changes but we only get promises. Fix things for us MR PRESIDENT.
