Electoral Commission to start pilot biometric voter registration

The Electoral Commission has fixed Saturday March 12, 2016, for piloting of the upgraded Biometric Registration Kits (BVR Kits) for the impending limited voter registration and subsequent registration exercises.

The EC therefore would undertake a pilot registration of voters to test the upgraded kits in selected polling stations in all the ten regions from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

A statement signed by Alhaji Amadu Sulley, Deputy Chairman in Charge of Operations at the Electoral Commission and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, called on all political parties and prospective voters in the selected polling stations to participate fully to ensure a successful exercise.
