Penplusbytes calls on citizens to make inputs into 2017 budget

BudgetIn response to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning’s (MoFEP’s) call on citizens to make contributions into the 2017 budget, the non-profit organization, Penplusbytes is asking citizens to do so through an initiative.

In a release issued in Accra, today June 14, 2016, Penplusbytes says it calling on citizens to contribute ideas to the 2017 budget through its ‘Producing a citizens’ budget for Ghana’ project.

“This campaign comes in direct response to MoFEP’s call for contributions that may be considered during the budget formulation process and is aimed at increasing public awareness and promoting greater participation in the process,” it said.

It notes that the call for inputs which ends on June 26, 2016 allows some more inputs to be made by SMS /WhatsApp complete with the contributors name, number, email address and occupation/profession to 0244373654.

“The information will be compiled and sent with these details to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Policy (MoFEP) before Monday, July 4, 2016,” it added.
