Hearts appoints foreign coach for U-20 team
Accra Hearts of Oak seeks to revamp it youth team with the signing of a Portuguese Coach Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil.
A press release issued by the communications Manager, Mr. Kwame Opare Addo, said the Accra based club has appointed Coach Traguil as the head coach of its junior team. This is part of the team’s effort to build a formidable youth system to feed the senior team.
The Portuguese coach will come along with a personal assistant and are expected to start work on Monday June 20, 2016. “This new arrangement is part of the long term plan to lay a very solid foundation for a sustainably competitive, efficient and successful club.”
The coach will be in charge of Auroras (U-20) and the Royal Oaks (U-17) sides of the club, and that, Traguil’s assistant will be in charge of scouting and other supportive technical tasks. The Coach will be assisted by other local coaches in coaching the under 20 and under 17 sides respectively.
According to the club, this is to also develop young talents and recruit players for the first team.
Mr. Kwame Opare Addo urged supporters of the club to cooperate with the decision and support it.
