Authors to read their books in Accra
Accra has lots of entertainment activities going on for most weekends, but book reading isn’t one of them. However, recently, what used to be an occasional event is becoming a part of the Accra arts scene.
Three authors will on September 3, 2016 hold reading of their books. Kofi Akpabli, Nana Awere Damoah and Alba K. Sumprim.
According to a press release issued by the three, the even called, “Ticklin’ the Sebiticalis”, will take place at Jamrock Restaurant, a Jamaican-themed joint near the A&C Mall at East Legon.
“Headlined by Nana Awere Damoah and Kofi Akpabli, the reading offers patrons a lively evening of literary pleasure and though-provoking discussions on Ghanaian contemporary life.
Kofi Akpabli will charm patrons with excerpts from his books ‘Romancing Ghanaland’ and ‘Tickling the Ghanaian’ while Nana Awere Damoah will entice the audience from his repertoire ‘Sebitically Speaking’ and ‘I Speak of Ghana,’” it said.
According to the release, Guest Reader, Alba Kunado Suprim, author of the Imported Ghanaian and A Place of Beautiful Nonsense, will for the first time join the Nana and Kofi.
