Ethiopian Airlines adds Moroni to its routes
Ethiopian Airways has announced it will soon start flying to Moroni, the federal capital of the archipelago nation in the Indian Ocean, the Union of the Comoros.
In a press release issued in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Monday August 29, 2016, and copied to ghanabusinessnews.com, the Airline said it has finalized preparations to launch the flights “as of October 30, 2016.”
“The flights to Moroni will be operated thrice weekly via Dar es Salaam,” the Airlines said.
Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam was quoted as saying, “We are thrilled to spread our wings farther to the Comoros islands. We believe our flights to Moroni and elsewhere in our beloved continent, Africa, contribute positively to the overall development of the continent and serve as a critically essential vehicle for the flow of investment, trade and tourism.”
The Airline which has been in existence for 70 years, operates some 240 flights daily from its Addis Ababa hub.
