NPP will win 65% of Ashaiman votes – Candidate

NPPAlhaji Labarang Yakubu Barry, New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman, has stated that his party would sweep 65 per cent of votes cast in the area on December 7.

Alhaji Barry, speaking to the media after presenting his nomination forms to the Electoral Commission, said this was possible due to the unimpressive performance of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He added that even though Ashaiman was a stronghold of the NDC, majority of residents were living in hardship and poverty.

According to him about 65 per cent of Ashaiman residents were unemployed and disillusioned.

He alleged that it was a pity that even though almost all the NDC executive members in the constituency were unemployed, they still claim their party was administering the country well.

He added that Ashaiman was bedevilled with bad roads, lack of needed infrastructure, high unemployment, crime among others.

Alhaji Barry observed that with such hardships, he would snatch the Ashaiman seat from the NDC.

He appealed to residents to vote massively for NPP to bring total transformation to Ashaiman and the whole country.

He also encouraged his followers to intensify their campaign to ensure that the NPP wins the election with a bigger margin.
