Glo to reward 300 customers to CAF Awards tickets
Globacom Limited, multi-national telecommunication outfit with operations in Ghana, will fly 300 subscribers to the next edition of the Glo-CAF Awards scheduled for January 5, 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria.
Head of Business, Glo Mobile Ghana, Mr. Augustine Mawuro who revealed this to the press said, the subscribers will be drawn from areas of operation on the continent.
The 2017 event, marks the silver jubilee edition, is expected to be the biggest ever since the Nigerian outfit took over the organisation of the event.
According to Mr. Mawuro, 300 customers will be rewarded with the chance to attend “this once-in-a-lifetime Silver Jubilee award ceremony of an event best known as the Oscars of African football” in a promo that is expected to run soon.
“The Glo-CAF Awards gala is the biggest night in African football, a gathering where the biggest names in the world of business, politics and showbiz meet with the stars and legends of African Football,” he said.
He said the “the Silver Jubilee of CAF Awards is another golden opportunity to appreciate and reward our subscribers who have been the brand’s pillar of strength over the years for their patronage and support and we have packaged the promo for them exclusively”.
The promo titled “win a seat among the Stars at the Oscars of African Football” subscribers participating in the promo are expected to buy and activate new Glo SIM or port their existing lines.
He said the offer was opened to new and existing prepaid/post-paid Glo customers from which 300 winners will emerge after the competition and snatch an exclusive invite to attend the Glo CAF Silver Jubilee Awards.
Mr. Bode Opesitan an official of Glo Mobile, urged Ghanaians to grasp the opportunity during the promotion.
“I promise you next year’s CAF Awards is going to be huge and I entreat Glo subscribers to avail themselves of this imposing opportunity,” he said.
Those to be decorated include the African Footballer of the Year, the greatest African football legends and 15 winners in other categories which would be unveiled during the gala night.
Other categories include African Player of The Year (Based in Africa), National Team of The Year, Club of The Year and Coach of The Year.
Also to be unveiled are Most Promising Talent, Women’s National Team of The Year, Woman Player of The Year, Referee of The Year, African Legend, CAF Fair Play Award, Platinum Awards-which is usually reserved for the President of the host country, African Finest XI and Youth Player of The Year.
