NCCE organises debate for parliamentary candidates in Trobo

NCCE ghanaThe National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised parliamentary debate for aspirants in Trobo in the Greater Accra, to enable them unveil their plans and policies for the constituency.

The programme was attended by the New Patriotic Party (NPP, Convention Peoples Party (CPP) and Progressive Peoples Party (PPP). The aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was absent.

 Mr Moses Anim, the Parliamentary Aspirant for NPP in an interview with Ghana News Agency said he had lobbied for the establishment of a government hospital at Ofankor through the African Development Bank.

He said he had also refurnished Amasaman Hospital with Patients Monitor.

Mr Anim expressed the belief of his Party to implement the Free Senior High School Programme if the NPP won the December 7 general election.

He said he had organised in service training for tutors in the Constituency in order to upgrade their competence.

Mr Twum Barima , the CPP aspirant promised the electorate about his intension to expand the National Health Insurance Scheme  and expand the National School Feeding Programme and initiate a fund to motivate teachers.

He said every physically challenged person would be given free education in the Constituency.

Mr Noah Kugblenu, the PPP Candidate also promised to establish a clinic in every electoral area of the Constituency.

He said he would organise workshops to upgrade the skills of the medical staff in the area.

Mr Thomas Okaine, Constituency Chairman of the NDC said Maame Afua, the Party’s Parliamentary Candidate could not attend the programme because she honoured a similar event organised by the traditional authorities.
