IAAF launches online portal for reporting doping
The ruling athletics body IAAF on Tuesday launched an online portal to allow anonymous reporting of doping practices.
The IAAF said the portal was secure and offered full confidentiality for those who want to report on all aspects of the doping issue, ranging from suspicion of doping and involvement of coaches to trafficking of forbidden substances and new doping substances.
“We must stand tall for clean athletes,” IAAF president Sebastian Coe said in a statement. “Even the smallest piece of information could be vital in helping to protect the integrity of competition and a level playing field.”
The IAAF said the portal on its website operates in six languages and stressed that “all information is submitted and transmitted via secure networks and is completely anonymous.”
