Five Institutions support IFEJ-Flamingo Awards 2016
The Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ), says five corporate institutions have donated GH₵30,000.00 towards the organisation of the 2016 Edition of the IFEJ-Flamingo Awards.
A statement signed by Mr Lloyd Evans, President of IFEJ said the National Investment Bank donated GH₵10,000.00, while GCB Bank, the Ghana Stock Exchange, Vivo Energy and the Central Securities Depository, donated GH₵5,000.00 each.
The annual event is to award excellence in business and financial journalism in the country.
The event would be held on Friday, January 27, at the Dubois Memorial Centre in Accra, on the theme: “Strengthening micro finance institutions to enhance the growth of rural and micro enterprises.”
The Guest Speaker for the evening would be Professor Ernest Aryeetey, a Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Legon.
“The essence of the annual awards is to recognise business and financial journalists and editors who have provided high quality coverage of the business and financial environment in Ghana,” stated Mr Evans.
