Afro-Arab Group calls for strengthening of PPP
Alhaji Abdul Salam Mohammed, Group Consultant of Afro Arab Group of companies has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to strengthen the public private partnership for economic development.
He said no nation could develop without the strong collaborations of corporate institutions, organisations, investors and individuals to complement government effort.
Speaking at a news conference in Accra, Alhaji Adamu said globalisation had created new international environment for small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) and exports from developing countries had broadened and deepened interrelationships between international trade and foreign investment flows.
“It has the potential to offer SMEs in developing countries with access to a global pool of new technologies, skills, capital, markets and hence faster export growth and profits.
“It is in line of this that, Afro-Arab Group and Joudy International has signed a contract (international partnership) to create opportunities for Ghanaian Investors to meet with their counterpart from the other part of the world to share ideas and also create partnership which will help in the government’s vision of one-district, one factory”, he said.
He announced that the first package of a business fair in Turkey for all Industries between March and July 2017 had been organised and the government of Turkey had taken chunk of the expenses.
He therefore called on Government to set up creative form of opportunities to improve businesses in Ghana by involving them and organising such a trade fair in Ghana in a subsidised manner.
This, he explained would enable International Organisations to have a level collaboration with the SME’s, Industries, Manufacturers and other Individuals who are interested in entrepreneurship.
