Defeated NDC Parliamentary candidate sues EC
Mr Wisdom Gidisu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Krachi-East in the 2016 elections, has filed a suit against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate and the Electoral Commission (EC), for over voting.
Mr Gidisu is seeking the Ho High Court to annul the result of the Parliamentary election.
The Plaintiff is also seeking an order to set aside the results as declared and gazetted by the second respondent (EC) declaring first respondent, Gyato Michael Yaw as Member of Parliament.
The petitioner is seeking for a declaration that there was over-voting in the following Polling Stations during the parliamentary elections conducted by second respondent (EC) on December 7, 2016 at the Krachi-East Constituency in the Volta Region.
The polling stations are R/C JHS Katanga with Polling Station code D211104, L/A Primary School Lapas, with Polling Station code D210203A, L/A Primary School Njare with Polling Station code D210603A, and L/A Primary School Njare with Polling Station code D210603B.
Others Polling Stations are; L/A Primary School Banka with Polling Station code D210201, and L/A Primary School Tokuroanu with Polling Station code D211501.
