KEEA Assembly endorses Appiah Korang as MCE
The Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Assembly on Monday, endorsed Nana Appiah Korang, as its Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
There was celebration by the assembly members and the public who were around to witness the ceremony when officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) declared that Mr Korang polled all 52 votes, representing 100 per cent endorsement.
The Central Regional Minister, Mr Kwamena Duncan commended the assembly members for massively endorsing the President’s nominee and tasked them to collectively strategise to move the development of the Municipality forward.
He charged the new MCE to work hard to vindicate his nomination by the President and remain accountable to the people who endorsed him.
He urged both the Assembly members and people to co-operate with him to enable him work in peace.
Mr Korang thanked the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him and solicited for their support to make him succeed.
Mr Korang expressed his readiness to partner with the private sector and other stakeholders to propel the growth of the area to make KEEA a model Municipality.
Sanitation was among the topmost on his agenda, and pledged to work hard to address the problems in the Municipality.
