IPR opens nominations for October Election
The Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR) Monday announced that it has opened nominations for the election for its new Executive Committee.
The elections would be held at the Institute’s 24th Annual General Meeting on October 20, this year, in the Ashanti Regional capital of Kumasi.
A statement issued in Accra, by Mr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, the Chairman of the APR’s Electoral Committee, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the positions open for contest were: President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary, Deputy Honorary Secretary and Treasurer.
The nominations would close on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1600 hours.
The IPR advised members to note that the incumbent officers were eligible to serve another term (two terms) in office; except for the position of the Honorary Secretary, where the current officer had served the maximum two terms.
The statement said members desirous of any of the positions should contact the Institute’s Secretariat for nomination forms between Monday and Friday from 0800 hours to 1600 hours each day.
It reminded members that only those in good standing were eligible for nomination, contesting and voting.
