Anas responds to Nyantakyi $150,000 extortion claims
Tiger Eye PI – an investigative team led by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has refuted a claim by Kwesi Nyantakyi, former president of Ghana Football Association (GFA), which suggest that, there was an attempt by a third party to induce the video made on him if he could raise $150,000.
Mr. Nyantakyi in a press statement on the investigative report by Anas Aremiyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye Team, has made many revelation which according to him is a “prejudicial piece” undertaken under the guise of fighting corruption only for the purpose of pursuing the private agenda of people intended to tarnish my reputation and cause disaffection for me among members of the general public”.
According to Nyantakyi, “that there was a demand on me through a third party to part with $150, 000 for Anas to drop the videos on me. I didn’t have the said amount of money to meet his demand”.
But Tiger Eye PI in a rebuttal to Nyantakyi $150,000 claims states,”We understand that, under the circumstance Mr Nyantakyi finds himself, he would want to clutch onto any straw to become credible. Anyone who knows Nyantakyi well, knows that he doesn’t not give up so easily. And as a lawyer he knows that the rule of the game is evidence.
“The claim that a third party made a demand of $150,000 for Anas is a complete fabrication, a figment of Mr. Nyantakyi imagination and has no merit.
We dare Mr. Nyantakyi to name his third party. In fact Tiger Eye is willing to provide undercover support to assist him find this third party should he extend an invitation to us again,” the statement stated.
Tiger Eye PI also refuted claims of hacking Nyantakyi which according to them is a “manufactured to make him (Nyantakyi) appear like a victim as they entreated the embattled former GFA boss to deal with issues uncovered in the investigations.
They further categorically stated that, Mr. Nyantakyi was given $65,000 as gift contrary to Nyantakyi’s claims of reimbursement over his travel expenses to Qatar.
