Young entrepreneurs to meet on climate change
The Eastern and Volta Regional branches of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) in collaboration with Net Impact Ghana, a civil society organisation are to organise a roundtable discussion on climate change for young entrepreneurs across the country.
The idea is to bring together young entrepreneurs to deliberate on the impact of climate change on investments and business to help them inculcate safe environmental practices in their investment plans.
The first discussion which is dubbed ‘’Ghana Young Entrepreneurs Roundtable on Climate Change (YEROCC) ‘’ is slated for July 2018 at Akosombo.
Disclosing this to the Ghana News Agency, Mrs Lucy Tenkorang, Vice Chairperson of the Eastern and Volta Regional branches of AGI, said the engagement was also intended to foster collaboration with government to attain the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)13, which among other issues dwells on Global Climatic conditions and impact of climate change.
She explained that the ultimate aim was to get industry to contribute towards the mitigation of global warming
