Kenichi joins Aduana Stars as new head coach

Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi

Kenichi Yastuhashi, former coach of Inter Allies FC, has joined 2016/17 Ghana Premier League Champions Aduana Stars, as the new head coach.

He was introduced to the team on Wednesday afternoon and subsequently held his first training session with them.

Aduana Stars are expected to unveil the Japanese-American coach in the coming days.

The Japanese trainer was in Dormaa on Tuesday where he begun negotiations with the club, after which he signed a deal to commit his future to them.

His first task in charge of the side would be in the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Confederations Cup against DR Congo side AS Vita Club.

Aduana Stars’ head coach position was left vacant under 24 hours, following the sack of Yusif Abubakar on Tuesday evening.

Abubakar won the second Premier League title for the side and was sacked just eight months after achieving that feat.

Kenichi was left jobless after he mutually terminated his contract with Premier league side Inter Allies last month.

He left Inter Allies in 14th place with 14 points, and with three outstanding games before the league went on recess. He had an enviable record of never losing a home match with the side.
