Ayew brothers axed, as Appiah recalls Gyan to face Sierra Leone
Kwasi Appiah, Black Stars head coach, has announced his 23-man squad to face Sierra Leone in a double header 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
The Black Stars, who occupy top spot in Group J, with three points with a higher goal difference would face off against the Leone Stars on 11th and 14th October, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Siaka Stevens Stadium.
Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan has been recalled into the squad, after missing the last few matches with Jordan and Andre Ayew left out of the squad by coach Appiah.
Kotoko goalkeeper, Felix Annan, has been handed a rare call up by coach Appiah, while veteran Black Stars defender, John Boye has also made a return to the team.
The Black Stars are expected to begin camping for the double header on October 8th in Kumasi.

Goalkeepers; Richard Ofori, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Felix Annan
Defenders; Harrison Afful, Nicholas Opoku, Andy Yiadom, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey and Lumor Agbenyenu.
Midfielders; Isaac Sackey, Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Afriyie Acquah, Christian Atsu, Nana Ampomah, Thomas Agyapong and Kwadwo Asamoah.
Forwards; Asamoah Gyan, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, Emmanuel Boateng, Majeed Warris and Bernard Mensah.
