GES promotes 22,279 teaching staff into various grades
The Ghana Education Service has promoted 22,279 staff out of 33,800 representing 66.2 per cent into various grades in the Service following their success in a recent promotion interview conducted.
A statement signed by Ms Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Head of Public Relations Unit of the Ghana Education Service and copied to the Ghana News Agency said: “Management is pleased to inform staff of Ghana Education Service that results of interviews for promotion to various grades in the Service have been released’’.
The statement said for the Deputy Director grade, 2,344 attended the interviews out of which 1,340 representing 57.17 per cent were successful.
The statement said 7,327 attended the interview for Assistant Director 1 out of which 4,601 representing 62.80 per cent were successful.
It said 21, 884 candidates attended the interviews for promotion to Assistant Director II. Out of this number 14, 945 representing 64.07 per cent passed.
“For the Principal Superintendent grade, 1,393 candidates, representing 68.79 per cent of the total candidates of 2,025, were successful.
“Results for the interview can be accessed on www.gespromotions.gov.gh at a fee of GHC5.
“Successful applicants are to note that the formal promotion letters will be released in due course as well as that of the non-teaching staff”, the statement said.
