Tema Port’s Marketing and Public Affairs Manager found murdered
Madam Josephine Asante, the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of Tema Port, has been murdered by unknown assailants in her room at Tema Community 25.
Her death brings to four, the number of unsolved murders in the Tema Police Region within one month.
The first murder victim was Nene Atsuru Benta III, Prampram Mankralo, who was shot in his car by unknown persons, Rev. David Nagbegmado, Senior Pastor of the Central Assemblies of God church, who was allegedly stabbed by his nephew and one other who was also stabbed with a knife.
Information gathered by the Ghana News Agency indicated that Madam Asante was attacked in her bedroom after returning from a Senior Staff party of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) on the night of January 12.
Her children are said to have discovered her body in a pool of blood after searching for her on Sunday morning.
The deceased door was said to have been locked and the key found on the compound.
Some senior staff of the GPHA told the GNA that the assailants did not steal any item from her home as her laptop, phones, jewelry and other valuables were left intact.
Meanwhile Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Joseph Benefo Darkwah, Tema Police Regional Public Relations Officer, when contacted, could not confirm the alleged murder as according to him, he was yet to receive any official communication on the issue.
