Let’s work hard to develop Savanna Region – Yagbonwura
The Yagbonwura Tutumba Bore Esa, Overlord of the Gonja Traditional Council has appealed to people in the newly created Savanna Region to unite to build a strong and resilient region to justify its creation.
He said the Yagbon Traditional Council is ready to lend every support to the Savanna Regional Minister, Mr Salifu Adam Braimah to pursue the development agenda of the region for improved living conditions.
The Overlord made the statement when the newly appointed Minister of the region called on him to officially introduce himself as the development of agent of the region for blessings of the King and people of the area before assuming office.
The King said his doors are opened and ready to provide the needed support to accelerate development in the region and advised all to unite and rally behind the development of the area.
Mr Salifu Adam Braimah, the Savanna Regional Minister thanked the Yagbonwura for his efforts since the beginning of the petition through to the creation and inauguration of the region and assured that he will not disappoint the people of the region.
He expressed the hope that much development would be seen by the end of his tenure of office.
He said, “I don’t know it all. I am only spearheading development in the area, but I am sure there are countless people in the region who can give advice and counsel to improve conditions”.
