Students group postpones protest over UTAG strike due to ECOWAS summit

The Coalition of Concerned University Students (CoCUS) has postponed its nonviolent demonstration over the industrial action by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).

The coalition said it had postponed its, “Student Are Suffering Demo,” scheduled for Thursday, February 03, 2022, indefinitely due to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) summit ongoing in Accra.

A press statement signed by all conveners and leaders of CoCUS and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra, said they remained focused as a strong team and asked for solidarity from all Ghanaian students, parents and the public.
