President Mahama suspends post-retirement contracts 

President John Dramani Mahama has suspended the granting of post-retirement contract appointments to retired public service staff with immediate effect.  

A statement issued by Dr Callistus Mahama, the Executive Secretary to the President, copied to the Ghana News Agency said consequently all requests for such appointments would no longer be considered. 

“Kindly take note of this directive and ensure strict compliance,” it said.
